TTCupdates has been lucky to be the subject of some great media attention.

CityNews: “Gilham’s TTCupdates, and Twitter, are ultimately microcosms of a much larger phenomenon, and his words hold more significance than he may realize. [...] He may be referring to his ‘pet project’ when he talks about the community coming together, but he’s really expanding on a vision that’s finally being realized, spreading its spacey roots and bearing the fruits of a connected future.”

Eye Weekly: “There’s been a lot of news about the TTC lately, some good, some bad [...] Here’s our quick snapshot of what’s what and who gets the credit (or blame).”

Spacing: “While the TTC does issue service disruptions via RSS, those of us who trust the crowd can benefit by looking into the aggregator created by Brian Gilham called TTC Updates Community Edition.”

Torontoist: “But as more frustrated commuters start tweeting disruption details to TTCu Community Edition, Gilham says, the better it will get.”

Metro: “Also, some TTC delay info can now be accessed via Twitter — see ttcupdates.com.”

Torontoist: “The TTC just became even more user friendly. But this time it’s not the Transit Commission’s own doing—it’s the result of the work of Brian Gilham, a Toronto-based web developer.”

BlogTO: “One Toronto techie, Brian Gilham, has done something that the TTC should have done long ago.”
